Naas CBS Awarded Champion School of Sanctuary

8 December 2023

Congratulations to the School of Sanctuary Committee who received their School of Sanctuary Award on Friday 24th November in Maynooth University. This is a significant achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff, students and parents in creating a safe and inclusive environment for all. Being the first school in Kildare to become a Champion School of Sanctuary is a great accomplishment and it shows our commitment to promoting diversity, respect, and understanding.

Receiving recognition from ‘School of Sanctuary Ireland’ is well-deserved and underscores the school’s efforts to ensure that everyone in the community feels welcome and supported. Creating an environment where everyone is valued and respected, regardless of their background or circumstances, is a vital step toward fostering a positive and inclusive learning space.

A heartfelt thank you to ‘School of Sanctuary Ireland’ for the prestigious title and to Maynooth University for their visit. Special recognition goes to the School of Sanctuary Team for organising this fantastic day. A big shout out to students Evan Dalton, Jamie Moore, Vova Batkov, Conor Morgan, Jakub Bojda, Jack Byrne, Alamin Rahman, Fionn Clarke, Seán Burke, Seán Fields, Stephen O’Rourke, Craig Mudzagada, Ethan Collins and Evan Noone.

Best wishes to Ms. Prendiville, Ms. Ward, and the entire Naas CBS Community for continuing to promote a culture of acceptance and unity. Here’s to many more years of success and inclusivity!
