Past Pupil Josh Mbala launches his Memoir
Yesterday afternoon our Past Pupil; Josh Mbala spoke to our 6th Year students about his recently published Memoir ‘A Promise Too Big.’
Josh’s story is truly inspiring; he arrived in Ireland from The Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2010 without a word of English and started 1st Year in Naas CBS with his older brother Chris.
He completed his Leaving Certificate exams in 2015 achieving an impressive 545 points despite having been made homeless a few months previously. Josh went on to study in UCD where he achieved a first class honours degree in microbiology from UCD all the while overcoming overwhelming adversities. Josh is currently working as an indirect tax analyst at Apple.
We were delighted to welcome Josh back yesterday and it was fitting that he spoke to our 6th Year lads about following their dreams and overcoming adversity.
We wish Josh well in the next chapter of his life.
