Impressive results in Track & Field for Naas CBS

Well done to all our students who competed in the South Leinster Track & Field yesterday and to their teacher Ms. Kilcoyne. Over the course of the day, the lads accumulated some impressive results.

In the U16 category, Matthew Whelan came first in the 1 mile race.

In the U17 age group, Josh Derham came first in the 1500 metres. Naas CBS was well represented in the 5000 metre race with Mikey Lawlor coming second and Darragh Gilroy coming third.

In the U19s, Tony O’ Connor also came third in  the 800 metres while the team consisting of Tony O’ Connor, Sean O’ Connor, Kirean Flynn and Josh Derham came second in the 4 X 400m relay race.


This followed the successes of our younger athletes in their South Leinster finals where Eoin Lawlor came first in the U14 1100 metre race and Rian Redfern  came third in the 500 metres.
